They will also have critical reporting and analysis responsibilities for the portfolio-wide News Group Capital budget.  As an operational finance lead, this team member will partner with production executives to implement strategic initiatives, prepare & maintain budgetary commitments, and support daily operations. This role reports into the Sr. Director of Finance, NBC News Group.Responsibilities Include:Managing the P&Ls for the NBC News Marketing and News HQ departments (including preparing budgets, submitting regular financial pacing updates, partnering with production executives, and identifying risks and opportunities)Leading regular capital expenditure analyses to monitor investments in on-air production equipment, studio infrastructure, and digital product developmentPartnering with technical leaders on a variety of strategic initiatives designed to streamline operations, manage cost, and enhance business decision-makingPreparing executive updates for senior management and distilling complex information into simple, actionable insightsCompleting monthly close deliverables for all managed departments (including journal entries, variance analysis, headcount analysis, and balance sheet account reconciliations)Facilitating daily operations for all managed departments (including accounts payable transactions and T&E/PCard compliance)QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.2+ years of relevant experience.Excellent computer / analytical skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.Proficient use of SAP/Business Warehouse/BPC or similar accounting software.Additional Job Requirements:Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV through www.nbcunicareers.com to be considered.Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the New York, NY office a minimum of four days per week.
