Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall warehouse operations, ensuring efficient, accurate, and cost-effective processes.
- Own the warehouse budget and P&L, monitoring costs and identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Monitor operational performance and ensure compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Plan warehouse resources, staffing levels, and shift schedules to meet business demands, including peak periods.
- Analyze operational errors, productivity deviations, and process inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Lead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing use of Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes and procedures.
- Organize and supervise inventory counts and stock takes, ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Oversee warehouse facilities, ensuring cleanliness, organization, proper maintenance, and compliance with lease requirements across both large and small warehouse locations.
- Coordinate daily operations with Logistics, Procurement, Sales, Customer Service, and external subcontractors to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop warehouse employees.
- Manage employee attendance, shift schedules, vacations, sick leave, and other workforce planning activities.
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities, resolving operational issues and ensuring uninterrupted operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, inventory control procedures, and operational best practices.
Requirements & Skills:
- Proven experience managing warehouse operations.
- Experience managing warehouse budgets and operational costs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management, and logistics operations.
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Experience managing warehouse KPIs and driving process improvements.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, including recruitment, coaching, and performance management.
- Organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of Fire Safety, Health & Safety regulations and warehouse compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Nice to have:
- Experience implementing or upgrading WMS systems.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Previous experience with SAP would be beneficial.
- Experience working in an international or fast-growing organization.
