The Cloud Networking products testing team seeks a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test with expertise in networking and cloud technologies.
About the role
The SDET role involves ensuring quality and reliability for cloud services by designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts. Responsibilities include identifying, reporting, and tracking software defects to maintain exceptional product standards.
As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites for cloud computing services.
- Collaborating with software developers and system engineers to understand system architecture, design, and functionality to create comprehensive test plans.
- Performing thorough testing of networking components and cloud-based applications to identify and resolve potential issues
- Designing & developing stress tests to assess the scalability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications and networking components.
- Developing and executing automated tests for containerized applications using Docker and virtual machines (VM).
- Creating clear, concise test cases, detailed test plans, and comprehensive bug reports ensures thorough documentation and effective quality assurance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Conducting root cause analysis of identified defects, providing detailed information to assist in the resolution process.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Show expertise as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or similar role in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
- Demonstrate Linux networking expertise, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, and tools like netcat, traceroute, iptables, and nftables.
- Have expertise in Python programming for test automation and scripting.Hands-on experience with the Pytest framework..
- Demonstrate expertise in containerization tools like Docker, virtualization with VMs, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Have fluent in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills.
- Be familiar with DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure as code.
- Work with CI/CD tools like Jenkins to establish and manage automated build and deployment pipelines efficiently and effectively.
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field..
