Research Associate, Medicinal Chemistry

Hyderabad, India | Full-Time

YOUR ROLE:

As a Research Associate  in Medicinal Chemistry at Enveda, you will be a hands-on synthetic chemist contributing to our ongoing chemistry programmes. Working closely with medicinal chemists and cross-functional teams in our Hyderabad lab, you will independently execute multi-step synthesis, develop your scientific skills, and help advance novel molecules with real patient impact. You will report to a Senior Scientist or Principal Scientist in Chemistry.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Independently design and execute multi-step reactions; characterise synthesised compounds using standard analytical techniques

  • Apply medicinal chemistry principles to contribute to SAR campaigns and compound prioritisation

  • Work closely with medicinal chemists and cross-functional teams; contribute creative ideas to research projects

  • Maintain compliance with Enveda notebook SOPs, internal database, and IP protection standards

  • Maintain high productivity and safety standards in a chemistry lab environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Master's degree in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry; SRA: 3-7 years of corporate drug discovery experience; RA: 0-2 years

  • Practical skills in synthetic organic chemistry techniques — essential for SRA, advantageous for RA

  • Good team player with strong knowledge of state-of-the-art synthetic organic chemistry

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and a collaborative, curious mindset
