About the Role
The Procurement Specialist plays a key role in supporting procurement operations through supplier management, sourcing activities, contract compliance, and cost optimization initiatives. This position partners with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure the efficient execution of purchasing processes while contributing to Carrier's operational and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
As a Procurement Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
Executing procurement processes, standards, and operational plans in support of sourcing and purchasing objectives.
Evaluating, qualifying, and managing suppliers to meet business requirements.
Preparing and reviewing RFPs, bid packages, and supplier proposals.
Analyzing pricing, financial data, and procurement metrics to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Monitoring supplier and contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and business expectations.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain.
Experience managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and sourcing activities.
Experience analyzing pricing, contracts, and procurement data.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
Advanced analytical and data reporting skills.
