Warehouse Worker
Summary:
Help us get the news into the hands of our community. We are looking for a reliable self-starter to join our fast-paced warehouse and mailroom team as a Warehouse Worker. In this role, you’ll be a key part of the process that ensures our newspapers reach our readers every day.
This shift is from 11:00AM to 7:30PM +/-.
What you will do:
Hand insert free-standing inserts into the inserting machine
Use the shrink wrap machine to wrap pallets
Operate pallet jacks or forklifts to move materials between the mailroom and the warehouse
Utilize a “jogging” table, aligning all inserts perfectly prior to loading an inserting pocket
Work on the binder machine to load signatures
Load mail pieces into the mail machine and gather address pieces off the conveyor
Responsible for the daily cleanup of the mailroom
What you will bring:
An understanding of and comfort working with machinery and equipment
Attention to detail, accuracy, and precision in handling materials and documentation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the workday
Benefits and Compensation:
The hourly wage is $19.00.
