Key Accountabilities

Assist Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) Portfolio Managers in implementing strategies across the DPM portfolios, address internal queries and any other matters.

Responsibilities

1. Trade-related activities

  • Plan and place trades across several asset classes for all DPM clients in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform trade allocation, FX transactions to ensure trades are properly settled

 

2. Account opening / maintenance / closing activities

  • Ensure that accounts are correctly set up
  • Update any changes to the investment/ operating parameters of the account upon receipt of client instructions in a timely manner
  • Perform account closure, including liquidation / transfer process, outstanding fee payments, etc

 

3. Handle internal queries

  • Liaise with Assistant Relationship Managers and Operations team on all account opening and closure related requirements, and other requests for information

 

4. Provide secretarial and administrative assistance, including:

  • Maintenance of a series of spreadsheets to monitor clients’ portfolio activity, including asset allocation, tactical asset allocation check, currency exposure, concentration risk, client restrictions, trades done, performance vs. long term objective
  • Maintenance of client records and follow up on outstanding documentation
  • Preparation of account performance reviews
  • Coordination and taking of minutes at investment meetings
  • Follow-up with all regulatory reporting on a daily basis

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 1-2 years’ experience
  • Possess CFA Level 1 certification
  • Knowledge of modern banking solutions and system architecture.
  • Basic banking and operational knowledge.
  • Knowledge of risk management, credit, operations, finance, compliance and controls.
  • Good understanding of financial and investment markets
  • Computer skills like Excel macro is a plus
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Ability to think analytically and problem solving across multiple dimensions.
