As a Channel & Partner Marketing Manager, China, you will be responsible for executing channel and partner marketing strategies that accelerate growth across Microsoft's consumer portfolio and channel ecosystem.
Working closely with regional functional leads, local sales teams and strategic partners, you will deliver integrated marketing programmes that drive business performance, strengthen partner engagement and ensure successful execution of regional and global priorities within the China market.
This role requires a seasoned marketing professional with deep experience in the China market, strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence across sales, partner and marketing stakeholders. E-commerce experience is essential, given the importance of JD.com and the broader digital commerce ecosystem in China.
Responsibilities
Market Leadership & Execution
- Lead local execution of channel and partner marketing strategies across China.
- Adapt regional and global marketing priorities to meet local market needs and business opportunities.
- Act as the voice of the China market, providing insights on customer trends, channel dynamics, competitive activity and growth opportunities.
- Drive operational excellence and execution against agreed business objectives and KPIs.
- Identify risks, opportunities and emerging market trends to inform strategy and investment decisions.
- Share market insights and best practices to influence regional planning and decision-making.
Channel & Partner Engagement
- Lead Microsoft's relationship with JD.com and other priority consumer channel partners in China.
- Develop and execute joint business and marketing plans that drive customer acquisition, engagement and sell-through.
- Identify opportunities to accelerate growth through e-commerce, retail and partner marketing initiatives.
- Manage partner marketing investments to maximise business impact and return on investment.
- Drive execution of launch moments, seasonal campaigns and commercial priorities across partner channels.
- Build trusted relationships with partner stakeholders and internal sales teams to deliver shared business objectives.
Integrated Marketing Planning
- Deliver full-funnel marketing programmes across awareness, consideration and conversion stages.
- Coordinate local execution of regional campaigns, product launches and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure alignment and readiness across partners, sales teams and supporting functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver a consistent customer experience across channels.
- Support development of annual and quarterly business plans aligned to growth objectives.
Investment & Business Management
- Manage marketing investments and budget tracking processes.
- Monitor campaign performance against business objectives and KPIs.
- Provide regular reporting, insights and recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness and business outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with Microsoft policies, governance requirements and operational processes.
- Support business planning, forecasting and performance reviews.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with regional Consumer Channel & Partner Marketing functional leads to drive successful execution of market priorities.
- Collaborate with local Sales teams to align marketing investments and activities with business goals.
- Work across regional and global teams to land campaigns, launches and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to regional business rhythms, planning processes and organisational priorities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in channel marketing, partner marketing, retail marketing, trade marketing, e-commerce marketing or related commercial roles.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing e-commerce marketing strategies and programmes within the China market.
- Experience managing strategic channel and partner relationships to drive business growth and customer acquisition.
- Experience developing and executing integrated marketing programmes across multiple channels.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, planning and business management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, influencing and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the technology, consumer electronics or e-commerce industries.
- Strong understanding of China's consumer, retail and e-commerce landscape.
- Experience working with large-scale online retail platforms and strategic channel partners, including JD.com.
- Experience managing marketing investments, budget planning and performance reporting.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
