Job Description
The Cyber Security Specialist plays a critical role in supporting project teams to achieve main milestones by resolving technical security issues that may impede progress. You will report to Security Operations Manager
Main Responsibilities
- You will collaborate with project teams to help achieve project milestones by resolving security-related technical challenges.
- Identify security issues that arise during project execution.
- Develop and implement practical, risk-based solutions to unblock project activities impacted by security constraints.
- Provide advice on security best practices and ensure understanding of organizational policies.
- Work with partners to balance security requirements with operational and project needs.
- Maintain knowledge of latest threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies relevant to the project environment.
What you'll need to bring to the role
- You will demonstrate ability around information security risk analysis and periodic information system activity reviews for information security processes.
- 3+ years of experience in several operating system environments, including UNIX, Windows, and Linux and IP intranet/Internet security environments. This experience includes working with firewalls, intrusion detection, and incident response. It also involves policy writing, vulnerability testing, operating system hardening, regulatory compliance, and data classification.
- Experience architecting and implementing security solutions, policies, and technologies relating to transactional websites.
- Understanding of PCI DSS, ISO and ISM standards, identity management solutions.
- Monitor advancements in information security technologies which include Imperva WAF, VPN, End Point Response, Password Management System, and web proxy.
- Work with other departments, design security components for strategic processes, and supervising the development of required security reporting devices and processes at all levels.
- Communicate with Business, partners and Vendors during Tenders\Audits to ensure Security compliance for all IT / Business system.

- Contribute to the achievement of project milestones by completing assigned tasks.
- Document outcomes and deliverables to ensure traceability and accountability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to networks and systems.
- Ensure IT issues are managed following the IT Security Risk Management Policy.
- Maintain security processes, procedures, standards, guidance, and documentation to reflect changes in our IT environment.
- Be internal information security advisor, providing expert guidance across the organization.
- Provide support for resolving IT issues related to information security.
- Investigate IT security incidents and identify causes to support remediation and prevention efforts.
Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Experience with network and operating systems (i.e. Linux, Windows).
- Experience with Information security principles (i.e. least privileges, defence in depth).
Desirable Skills
- Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, SSCP, CCSP, CPP, CNSP, CNSA, or ICSE would be highly regarded
