Position Summary:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver complex software requirements to accomplish business goals.
- Ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements.
- Perform coding solutions, unit tests, and ensure that solutions can be integrated successfully into the overall applications/systems with clear, robust and well-tested interfaces.
- Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.
- Participate in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
- Perform spike/proof of concept to mitigate risk and implement new ideas.
- Utilize multiple architectural components in design and development of client requirements.
- Contribute to existing test suites.
- Analyze test reports, identify any test issues or errors and triage the underlying cause.
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
- Automates manual release activities
Required Qualifications
- Strong Knowledge and expertise in container & cloud technologies like Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS and Azure
- Expertise in Java/J2EE technologies with minimum of 4 year of experience.
- Should have good knowledge of technologies like Spring, Spring Integration, Cassandra, Kafka, MQ, NOSQL & Restful services, WS-Security,
- Hands on experience on tools like Eclipse, IntelliJ, Splunk, Dynatrace & Autosys etc
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries (Oracle/SQL Server)
- Proficiency in writing complex Unix/Linux scripting
- Hands on experience in UI technologies like Angular and React
- Hands on experience on Code Quality Tools like JUnit, Sonar/Crucible
- Experience on modern development methodology including Agile
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in programming language(s) required for the role
- Good understanding of Client Protection and claims business processes and strategies
