Job Summary
SHI is seeking a Senior AI Solutions Engineer – Agentic Solutions to design, build, and deliver enterprise AI and agentic solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem. This highly visible, customer-facing role partners directly with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, recommend the most effective technical approach, and lead hands-on implementation from discovery through deployment.Leveraging technologies such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Agent 365, Azure AI Services, and the Power Platform, the successful candidate will help organizations unlock business value through intelligent automation, AI agents, and modern workplace solutions. This role may also support Statement of Work (SOW) review and refinement to ensure proposed scope, deliverables, assumptions, and technical approaches align with customer needs and delivery expectations.
Beyond solution delivery, this position plays a key role in advancing SHI’s agentic AI practice by developing reusable assets, mentoring engineers, improving service offerings, and sharing technical knowledge across teams.

Role Description
Customer Engagement & Solution Design
Lead technical discovery sessions with customer stakeholders to understand business objectives, process challenges, data sources, integration requirements, governance considerations, and success criteria.
Recommend the most appropriate agentic AI strategy using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent Builder, Agent 365, Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI Services, Power Platform, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns, workflow automation, and hybrid architectures.
Design and build production-ready AI agents and solutions, including knowledge grounding, connectors, workflows, tool/function calling, multi-agent architectures, and human-in-the-loop processes.
Engineering & Delivery
Implement engineering best practices for solution packaging, environment strategy, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), deployment pipelines, monitoring, testing, evaluation, rollback procedures, and operational readiness.
Support AI solution deployment using Power Platform pipelines and other enterprise-grade delivery tools.
Contribute to SOW review and delivery planning by validating scope, assumptions, technical approach, deliverables, timelines, risks, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
Governance, Security & Compliance
Support enterprise agent governance by establishing repeatable patterns for agent inventory, ownership, lifecycle management, identity and access management, connector governance, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Advanced Connector Policies (ACP), auditability, and Responsible AI controls.
Partner with Security, Compliance, and Digital Workplace teams on Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra, Power Platform governance, data protection, privacy, and regulatory considerations related to agentic AI solutions.
Adoption & Business Enablement
Collaborate with Change Management and Adoption teams to align technical implementations with readiness planning, user adoption strategies, enablement requirements, usage measurement, and business outcome reporting.
Support AI FinOps initiatives by helping customers understand and manage token consumption, model usage, Copilot Credits, Azure billing impacts, capacity planning, and cost optimization strategies.
Practice Development & Leadership
Create reusable assets such as reference architectures, implementation patterns, governance templates, demonstrations, runbooks, and enablement materials to help SHI scale agentic AI delivery.
Coach engineers and consultants on agent development practices, Microsoft AI platform capabilities, secure implementation approaches, evaluation methodologies, and operational readiness standards.

Skill Level Requirements
Advanced experience designing and implementing enterprise AI, automation, and agentic solutions.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft AI technologies, including Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI Services, Power Platform, and related Microsoft cloud services.
Experience leading customer-facing technical engagements, workshops, and solution discovery sessions.
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and production-ready AI solutions.
Strong understanding of governance, security, compliance, and operational considerations within enterprise environments.
Excellent communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide technical teams while contributing to practice development and service innovation.
Preferred Technical Skills
Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
Familiarity with Microsoft Foundry control plane, project and workspace configuration, model deployment, evaluation, and operational monitoring.
Experience with Agent 365 SDK, Microsoft Graph, or custom agent extensibility patterns.
Hands-on experience with local AI development, including Python, C#, TypeScript, SDK-based development, prompt testing, tool/function calling, and local evaluation workflows.
Understanding of source control, branching strategies, solution packaging, environment variables, secrets management, and automated deployment patterns.
Familiarity with Azure integration services and patterns, including Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Key Vault, storage services, and managed identities.
Experience with observability and evaluation tools for AI solutions, including logging, tracing, groundedness testing, quality evaluation, and performance monitoring.
Exposure to open-source AI frameworks and orchestration patterns.
Other Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
5–8 years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, pre-sales, or similar technical consulting role.
Demonstrated experience supporting complex, multi-technology sales opportunities.
Willingness to travel for customer engagements, partner meetings, and industry events as needed.
The estimated annual pay range for this position is CAD $300,000 - $345,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
