Plant Production Planner

BASIC FUNCTION
This position works directly with the Master Scheduler to develop the assembly schedule in order that customer commitment dates are met, and production is scheduled in an efficient manner. All communications relating to orders, MRP functions/maintenance, and paperwork processing will be handled by this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Reviews and analyzes assembly loading levels and production dates with distribution for the duration of the planning horizon. Plans production based on published lead times and customer commitment dates.
· Works closely with Master Scheduler, Plant Manager and Operations Manager to adjust scheduling capacity based on manpower.
· Ensure accurate production reporting and an accurate plan.
· Expedite high priority jobs and report on their plan.
· Communication with customer service is a critical part of this job. All questions not pertaining to warranty but inclusive of expediting, shortages, revision inquiries, and other manufacturing – relocated questions will be controlled by this position.
· Reviews incoming orders for accuracy and adherence to engineering/production guidelines. Communicate with customer service, marketing and sales to gather information required for order to meet guidelines.
· Reviews revisions and administer charges as required. In addition, review delivery impact regarding plant loading and customer requirements.
· Coordinate Shipping of units daily.
· Responsible for reporting work related injuries and near misses to supervision.
· Responsible for wearing all required PPE and following applicable safety/environmental rules.
· Responsible for correcting or reporting unsafe conditions observed within the plant.
· Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
This position prefers a Bachelor’s Degree and/or three (3) to five (5) years of related experience. Must possess thorough knowledge and understanding of modern planning – techniques, manual and automated supporting systems, product line and structure.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), as well as Internet software and E-
mail is required.

Directly supervises employees in Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

HIRING SALARY RANGE
$67,900.00 - $101,900.00 USD Annual (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
