Job Title: Warehouse Operative(Nights)
Location: Belfast
Work Pattern: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 18:00-02:30, Friday 18:00-01:30
Summary of Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our Belfast distribution team. This role is responsible for accurately picking and assembling customer orders using handheld scanning equipment, ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently. As part of a healthcare distribution environment, you will play an important role in supporting the timely delivery of essential products to customers while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick products using pick notes and handheld scanning equipment.
- Assemble customer orders to agreed quality and productivity standards.
- Move between warehouse stations and work areas as required.
- Escalate stock exceptions and ensure orders are fulfilled correctly.
- Handle products carefully and report any damages to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
- Report pick face errors promptly to maintain stock accuracy.
- Adhere to all housekeeping, health and safety, and PPE requirements.
- Carry out reasonable duties as requested by Service Centre Management.

- Familiarity with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards.
- Experience working night shifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse health and safety practices.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required. Less than 2 years of experience in warehouse support, distribution operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, or a related field required. Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent certification preferred. Knowledge in warehouse operations processes, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, staging, and shipping. Knowledge in inventory control principles, stock movement tracking, and material traceability requirements. Knowledge in temperature-controlled handling and cold chain support requirements for sensitive products and materials. Knowledge in packaging materials, reusable shipping assets, and replenishment practices within warehouse operations. Knowledge in shipment documentation, operational recordkeeping, and transaction processing requirements. Knowledge in safe material handling practices and the use of warehouse equipment and tools. Ability to follow established warehouse procedures and standardized work instructions. Ability to maintain accurate records and update operational information in warehouse systems and logs. Ability to identify inventory, packaging, shipment, and material handling exceptions for further action. Ability to support timely and accurate order preparation and material movement activities. Ability to manage multiple routine tasks across warehouse workflows while maintaining accuracy. Ability to work with temperature-sensitive materials in line with defined handling requirements.What Cencora offers
