  • Provide day-to-day operational support activities to the Global Trade Compliance Lead in Costa Rica.

  • Prepare, review, and ensure completeness of documentation required for Free Trade Zone entries and import processes, including invoice translations, forms, airway bill endorsements, and related documentation.

  • Prepare and coordinate documentation required for export processes (including imports into third countries), such as explanatory notes, forms, and supporting materials.

  • Monitor shipments and maintain accurate, real-time control of inbound and outbound goods.

  • Support the maintenance, accuracy, and compliance of the Free Trade Zone Operations Control Book (Libro de Control de Operaciones de Zona Franca).

  • Assist in internal and external audits by gathering, reviewing, organizing, and classifying relevant documentation and records.

  • Perform additional duties aligned with the role as assigned by the direct supervisor.

  • Intermediate to advanced university student (from second year onward) pursuing a degree in Customs Administration, International Trade, or Law with a general understanding of customs and foreign trade regulations.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of proven experience in roles related to customs and international trade, supporting customs technical units, customs brokers, trade compliance departments, or similar positions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple activities efficiently under the direction of the direct supervisor.
  • Demonstrated interest, willingness, and openness to learn and develop expertise in customs, foreign trade, free trade zone, and internal company processes.
