Role: Technology Business Senior Manager

Role Summary

The Technology Business Analyst Lead will play a critical role in bridging business strategy and technology delivery by identifying opportunities to create measurable business value through digital transformation initiatives.

Working across complex programs, the successful candidate will assess current-state processes, define future-state capabilities and translate business requirements into practical technology-enabled solutions. This role will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, product teams and delivery teams to ensure strategic objectives are aligned with technology outcomes.

The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert in business analysis, business architecture and value realisation, helping shape decision-making, improve operating models and drive successful transformation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Value Realisation

  • Drive the alignment of business strategies with technology solutions to support transformation objectives.

  • Identify opportunities to improve business outcomes through process optimisation, capability uplift and technology enablement.

  • Define value realisation approaches and success measures for strategic initiatives.

  • Support the development of business cases that demonstrate measurable benefits and organisational value.

  • Ensure business and technology investments are aligned to strategic priorities.

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Capture, analyse and document business requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and future-state capabilities.

  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to gather requirements and validate solutions.

  • Support backlog definition, prioritisation and solution planning activities.

  • Ensure business requirements are understood and aligned across delivery teams.

Business Architecture & Operating Model Design

  • Assess current-state business processes, operating models and capabilities.

  • Design future-state business processes and target operating models.

  • Identify opportunities for business improvement, efficiency and enhanced customer outcomes.

  • Develop business capability maps, process frameworks and solution impacts.

  • Contribute expertise on business architecture methodologies and best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, architects and delivery teams.

  • Provide guidance and leadership across multiple workstreams.

  • Support decision-making through structured analysis and recommendations.

  • Present findings, business cases and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Drive alignment across teams and contribute to successful program delivery.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Monitor emerging trends, methodologies and industry practices that may enhance business outcomes.

  • Contribute to the refinement of frameworks, tools and delivery approaches.

  • Promote best practices in business analysis and business architecture.

  • Identify opportunities to improve organisational effectiveness and operational performance.

  • Support capability development across project and delivery teams.

Required Experience

The successful candidate will have experience in:

  • Business Analysis within large-scale transformation or technology programs.

  • Business Architecture, capability modelling and operating model design.

  • Value Architecture and Value Realisation approaches.

  • Defining and documenting business and functional requirements.

  • Developing business cases and strategic recommendations.

  • Facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.

  • Working with cross-functional business and technology teams.

  • Translating business requirements into technology-enabled solutions.

  • Supporting business transformation and organisational change initiatives.

Required Skills & Capabilities

Value Architecture & Realisation

  • Strong experience defining value outcomes and business benefits.

  • Ability to align business objectives with technology investments.

  • Experience measuring and tracking transformation outcomes.

Business Analysis

  • Advanced functional analysis and requirements management capability.

  • Strong process analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience facilitating workshops and requirements discovery sessions.

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Business Strategy & Design

  • Experience developing business cases, operating models and strategic frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of business design principles.

  • Ability to develop future-state business capabilities and transformation roadmaps.

Stakeholder & Consulting Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to work across multiple teams and priorities.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making capability.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale digital transformation programs.

  • Experience within complex customer-focused organisations.

  • Experience working in consulting or professional services environments.

  • Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.

  • Experience working with product, architecture and engineering teams.

  • Familiarity with business architecture frameworks and modelling techniques.
