Maintenance Utility (general labor)
Description
• Equipment Operation – Operate industrial trucks and overhead cranes to load and move industrial materials (steel and aluminum).
• Scrap & Waste Disposal – Break down, scrap, and dispose of damaged ladders, wood, metal, pallets, and crates; empty scrap receptacles and trash bins, transporting waste to designated dumpsters.
• Groundskeeping – Maintain outdoor grounds and property appearance.
• Fill in for other positions as needed during periods of high absenteeism.
• Assist the maintenance team with manual labor on various projects.
• Clean and maintain restrooms and locker rooms, including restocking soap dispensers and toilet paper.
Requirements
• The ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and other inclement weather.
• The ability to wear safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, safety-toe shoes, and a dust mask.
• Constant use of hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
• The ability to frequently exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects, materials
• Considerable amount of use with arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Standing for 8 or more hours everyday
• Must be able to lift to 60 lbs.
Work Environment:
• The job is within an industrial environment which requires work within various areas. The indoor environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.
