Space Mission Assurance Analyst
Join a mission-focused team supporting the U.S. Space Force Mission Assurance Program. As a Space Mission Assurance Analyst, you will help evaluate and manage risks to some of the nation's most critical space missions, enabling operational readiness and mission success across the Joint Force. Working alongside military, civilian, and industry experts, you will provide analysis and recommendations that influence strategic decisions and strengthen the resilience of U.S. space capabilities.

What You Will Do:
Conduct Level 1-3 analysis and mission decomposition for space missions, ad-hoc mission priorities, wargames, training exercises, operational planning teams, mission-specific conferences, and SME working groups.
Develop and apply a systematic process for mission decomposition of strategic space missions and identification of risk-to-strategic mission execution in a clear, defensible, and repeatable manner.
Interview mission planners, mission-system owners, stakeholders, subject matter experts, and mission partners to identify, assess, and document risk within assigned missions, capabilities, and systems.
Partner with mission owners and operational stakeholders to identify, define, and validate strategic Space Mission Assurance missions and supporting capabilities.
Identify, validate, and maintain mission assets, dependencies, and operational relationships within designated Space Mission Assurance repositories, e.g. FADE.
Analyze mission-critical assets and develop prioritized recommendations for sustainment, modernization, remediation, and risk reduction.
Assess and document mission risk, operational impacts, vulnerabilities, and mitigation recommendations within approved Mission Assurance repositories.
Convey SpMA risk-to-strategic mission for Space missions to the Department of War (DoW) MA community, ensuring integration into the community’s processes and procedures, including the CJCS DCA nomination and management processes.
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Sciences, Intelligence Studies, or related discipline).
Minimum of 7 years of DoW experience, including direct involvement with space operations, space intelligence, or mission planning.
Experience applying DoW risk management processes to assess mission dependencies and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
Prior experience supporting MA assessments or similar risk-informed prioritization efforts strongly preferred
Other Requirements
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a DoW TS-SCI Clearance. Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and eligibility determination.
Valid Passport: Possession of a current passport with a minimum of 8 months remaining until expiration.
Hybrid Role: This role requires travel to a locally designated government site to work on secure networks and maintain NIPR/SIPR/JWICS access a minimum of 3-4 days per week. Telework is authorized for work not required to be performed at the government site.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS approximately 25% of the time (subject to mission requirements)

Demonstrated ability to convey complex mission and technical issues in a clear, actionable manner for senior military and civilian leadership.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to integrate data into strategic recommendations.
Effective communicator, able to engage confidently across all organizational levels and within Joint/Service working groups.
Gather, assemble, and analyze facts; draw supportable conclusions; and present risk-informed courses of action.
Skilled in developing structured plans and solutions to achieve program objectives and support enterprise decision-making.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within small, high-performing teams.
Proven ability to synthesize large volumes of technical and policy into concise reports, briefings, and recommendations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration platforms; SharePoint experience a plus.
Experience with Fusion Analysis and Development Effort (FADE) a plus.
Professional presence, integrity, and adaptability to operate in high-visibility, fast-paced headquarters environments.

Certified Space Professional (CSP)
Completion of Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I or comparable Service-level professional development a plus.
Compensation Range
$120,000 - $140,000
