J. P. Morgan Wealth Management - Vice President, Business Development & Strategy Manager

New York, NYFull-timePosted Jul 29, 2026

The J.P. Morgan Wealth Management (USWM) business is focused on helping investors achieve their long-term financial goals and is comprised of the Chase Wealth Management business, J.P. Morgan Advisors, Personal Advisors, and Self-Directed—our digital investing platform. The combined business has approximately $600 billion in Assets Under Management and approximately 5,000 advisors located across 3,500 branches and 20 offices.

As a Vice President of Business Strategy & Field Engagement on the CWM Business Development team, you will sit at the intersection of strategy and execution—translating the firm’s most important US Wealth Management priorities into clear, compelling, and field-ready programs that lead to measurable advisor behavior and client outcomes. This is not a traditional strategy role. You will own the full arc from collaborating with teams on strategic concepts to driving field activation: designing the positioning, building the enablement materials, and equipping advisors and field leaders with the tools, language, and confidence to deliver. You will partner across the Investment Product, Practice Management, Advisor Incentives, Operational Effectiveness, One Chase, and other key functional stakeholders to ensure that enterprise-level initiatives land in the field with clarity, consistency, and impact.

Job Responsibilities

  • Convert complex, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives into crisp field narratives, advisor-facing value propositions, and repeatable talk tracks that field leaders can coach to and advisors can immediately use with clients.
  • Develop clear positioning frameworks that connect firm priorities to advisor daily behaviors, client conversations, and growth outcomes.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between corporate strategy teams and the field—ensuring that what gets built centrally is relevant, practical, and adoptable at scale.
  • Build and own a full suite of enablement materials including playbooks, one-pagers, presentation decks, quick-reference guides, and digital resources hosted on intranet platforms and field-facing portals.
  • Design workshops, coaching sessions, and field-ready materials that deepen advisor proficiency on priority initiatives and lead consistent execution across markets.
  • Develop and manage field leader toolkits that enable branch and regional leadership to champion initiatives locally with their teams.
  • Coordinate with One Chase partners, Practice Management consultants, Product Specialists, and Investment Product teams to create joint programming that reflects a unified, client-centric message.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Investment Product Leadership, One Chase partners, Marketing, Training, and other functional groups to align on priorities, co-develop materials, and guide coordinated field engagement.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and field leadership through well-structured strategic recommendations, data-informed insights, and a credible point of view on what will move the field.
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives with discipline—maintaining clear timelines, tracking progress against milestones, and communicating status to leadership.
  • Measure the effectiveness of field engagement programs and iterate based on feedback, field adoption signals, and business results.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in wealth management, financial services strategy, field enablement, or a closely adjacent discipline.
  • Demonstrated track record of taking complex strategic content and making it accessible, actionable, and compelling for a field or sales audience.
  • Experience designing and executing field engagement campaigns and training programs.
  • Track record of translating larger strategic initiatives into clear field positioning, practical enablement, and repeatable messages advisors and field leaders can use.
  • Knowledge of US Wealth Management products, investment solutions, financial planning, and the advisor-client relationship model.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—you write with precision and speak with authority, whether in a two-page briefing or a room full of field leaders.
  • Strong project management capability with the ability to run multiple workstreams simultaneously without sacrificing quality or detail.
  • A builder’s mindset—you are energized by creating things that did not exist before and improving things that do.
  • High stakeholder fluency—comfortable influencing senior leaders, navigating a matrixed organization, and earning credibility through substance and follow-through.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and other content creation tools.
  • Self-directed and proactive—you identify what needs to be done and move without waiting to be asked.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Consulting background a plus.
  • Understanding of the Wealth Management field ecosystem.
  • Experience with intranet or learning management platforms is a plus.
