Job Description
Business Resiliency is responsible for ensuring operational continuity for employees, clients and shareholder interests, by ensuring the business’s ability to maintain appropriate operating levels, despite all types of physical business disruption. The function provides a formal structure allowing for cohesive and centralized oversight of the enterprise-wide control environment, partnering closely with firmwide Business Resiliency, Compliance, Risk, Audit and other control disciplines.
The Incident & Crisis Management Lead within Business Resilience serves as a critical first responder and strategic coordinator during operational disruptions for the Americas Region. This individual owns the end-to-end incident lifecycle — from rapid detection and response through to permanent resolution — ensuring the firm's resilience across technology, business, real estate, and operational disciplines.
This role ensures that the business can respond effectively to disruptive events, minimize operational impact, and safeguard employees, assets, and reputation.
Job responsibilities
- Actively monitor operational environments to identify emerging incidents and potential disruptions before they escalate
- Respond rapidly to incidents, taking immediate ownership and driving coordinated action across impacted teams
- Ask the right questions early and persistently to establish root cause, scope of impact, and recovery path
- Synthesize complex, fast-moving incident information into clear, concise, and assertive updates for senior management
- Tailor communications to the audience — cutting through noise to deliver what leaders need to make decisions quickly
- Drive rapid recovery efforts by coordinating actions across multiple disciplines including Technology, Business Operations, Real Estate, and third-party partners
- Ensure accountability across workstreams — tracking actions, owners, and timelines until full resolution is confirmed
- Transition seamlessly from tactical recovery to strategic remediation without losing momentum
- Evaluate whether an incident's root cause poses risk in other countries or regions and proactively drive preventive actions globally
- Partner with cross-functional teams to embed lessons learned into resilience frameworks, playbooks, and controls
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats (natural disasters, geopolitical risks, cyber threats, etc.) and vulnerabilities affecting business operations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Risk Management, Security, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business continuity, risk management, or crisis management, Financial Institutions Business knowledge or Technology Background preferably in a multinational environment
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Apply a strategic mindset to assess permanent fixes, not just immediate workarounds
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Excellent Communication skills and presentation skills for senior audience
- Strong understanding of local regulatory requirements and global resiliency standards.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301) are a plus.
- Knowledge of the firm / corporate & investment banking business.
- Demonstrate understanding of the Business Resiliency Life Cycle.
