Who we're looking for

Reporting to the SmartPath/MONOGRAM Digital Retail Manager - Sales, the SmartPath/MONOGRAM Digital Retail Consultant will have two main responsibilities; coordinating, managing, and leading new dealer launches for SmartPath/MONOGRAM and improving the utilization of the platform in existing dealerships through relaunch efforts and training. These activities will require working directly with Toyota/Lexus regional staff with support from existing business partners to execute successfully. Additional responsibilities will include supporting program enhancement launches as they become available e.g., Rental, F&I, and Signal.

The primary responsibilities of this career position are to enhance the utilization of Toyota SmartPath and MONOGRAM in dealerships that are already live on the platform, while continuing to support the launch of new dealerships.

These activities will also include working closely with your assigned Region/Area to determine dealer performance and identify any knowledge gaps that exist. The Consultant will analyze existing SmartPath and MONOGRAM dealerships to assess current usage and identify opportunities for increased engagement, schedule and attend pre-launch and sustainment activities, develop customized action plans to boost their utilization of the SmartPath and MONOGRAM tools.

In addition, the Consultant will support the rollout of SmartPath and MONOGRAM F&I  and Digital Deal Jacket/Credit Services by conducting product demonstrations, supporting dealer launches, and providing refresher training on SmartPath and MONOGRAM Sales, ensuring that dealership staff are fully equipped to leverage the additional platform's capabilities.

What you'll be doing

  • Experience working with dealers, region field staff, and our business partners to enhance SmartPath and MONOGRAM utilization in existing dealerships by assessing current usage, developing, and implementing action plans, and providing ongoing support and training.

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to measure the success of utilization strategies and identify opportunities for further improvement.

  • Provide training to regional and dealership personnel on SmartPath and MONOGRAM tools and enhancements, including refresher sessions and support for F&I rollouts.

  • Support the launch of new dealerships onto SmartPath and MONOGRAM, coordinating launch activities and delivering initial training.

  • Travel to dealerships and field offices (50-75% of the time) to implement initiatives and collaborate with region field staff.

  • Communicate program updates and facilitate the resolution of technical issues.

  • Serve as a SmartPath and MONOGRAM subject matter expert (SME), staying current with new features and best practices.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of SmartPath and MONOGRAM processes and participate in cross-functional activities.

  • Assist in training and onboarding new team members within the DEAL team and regions.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher), or equivalent professional work experience that is relevant to this position.

  • Experience in an OEM regional office or held positions at the OEM corporate level with significant responsibility for dealer interaction. Retail experience in a dealership would also be considered in lieu of field experience.

  • Strong understanding of automotive consumer digital user experiences and user interfaces.

  • Experience with installing and training Digital Retailing solutions for automotive dealerships.   

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong record of overcoming key obstacles with stakeholder groups and handling objections to achieve win/win results.

  • Strong ability to build cross-functional relationships across an organization, Sales, Marketing, Service, etc.

  • Intermediate or above skill level for Microsoft Suite of tools including Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)

  • Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing successful dealer programs.

  • Knowledge of the latest digital trends and best practices in online marketing and e-commerce.

  • Experience interfacing with high levels of management at TMS, TFS, field offices, and dealerships.

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.

  • Excellent speaking and presentation skills.

  • Ability to plan and manage field travel, including setting itineraries and managing travel across a diverse group of dealers and geographic territories.

  • Ability and willingness to travel 50%-75%ancross-functional of the time.

Added bonus if you have

  • Previous Lexus/Toyota field experience and/or Dealership Retail experience.

  • Strong knowledge of dealer sales processes, including inventory management, pricing, incentives, finance and insurance, delivery, and consumer information management.

  • Experience in a variety of marketing disciplines at Lexus and/or Lexus that involve implementation of digital platforms.

  • Experience in business process mapping and process improvement initiatives.
