The quality that sets us apart is the connection we have with our community; candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills, with dynamic live television skills.ABOUT YOU:You are an enthusiastic self-starter who loves working with people, is detail oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.YOUR DAY-DAY:Generate stories with minimum directionShooting and editing news storiesProduce daily content on a variety of platformsDevelop sources and contactsContribute story ideas dailySetting up interviews and other appointments as needed for background on assigned storiesCapable of reporting live from the field on breaking storiesParticipate in station related eventsMaintains close communication with news team, show producers and news directorPerform additional duties as assignedYOU HAVE:A bachelor’s degree in journalism1-2 years of reporting experienceMust be a strong live reporterMust work well under time deadlinesMust be willing to work early morning, morning, evenings, weekends and holidaysStrong understanding of news gathering ethical and legal issuesGenuine enthusiasm for work & a drive for excellenceFluent in English and Spanish (read and write)Strong reporting skillsApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United Stated on a full-time basisAbility to stand, walk, bend, type and sit for up to (8) hoursOUR BENEFITS:TelevisaUnivision believes that a happy, well-balanced employee is what makes our culture thrive.
