We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry. The impact you’ll make As a Mechanical Engineer at Lam, you're designing and defining cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Your role involves feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication. You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our technology's packaging.What you’ll do Support the full life cycle of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems from concept to productization including conceptualization, designing, development and validationDesigns components using variety of metals, ceramics, plastics and advanced coatingsPerform engineering analyses (structural, thermal, FEA, flow, vibration, manufacturability) to optimize designsDevelop feasibility studies and test plans to validate product performance and reliabilityGenerate technical documentation, FMEA and specifications to deliver safe, manufacturable and cost-effective solutionsCollaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams while providing technical guidance to junior engineersWho we’re looking for Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent experienceExcellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skillsHighly proficient in 3D CAD tools such as CREO, Siemens NX, ProE, SolidWorks, and othersHands-on experimental and design background coupled with solid engineering skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in Semiconductor industry is a plusExperience in leading projects, or problem solving while managing time and multiple prioritiesWhat we're offering This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group F, depending on your educational background.
