Planning and designing new experiments. 

Making and testing of novel photosensitive and other biologically useful compounds. 

Keeping a thorough and detailed notebook of all experiments.

Keeping abreast of the relevant literature in this and related fields. 

Giving presentations of data in departmental and at national meetings. 

Preparing work for publication in scholarly peer-reviewed academic journals.

Helping with equipment maintenance in the lab, including NMR cryogens and HPLC care.

Educational and other Requirements for the position: Ph.D. in chemistry.

Experience Required: at 5 years organic synthesis.

Goals/Outcomes of the Research Project:  

The Ellis-Davies lab publishes its work in high impact journals (Angew Chem, J. Am. Chem. Soc, Neuron, etc.) Our goal is to continue high quality work and publication.

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72,500.00 - $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
