Team Leader – Graphic Design – JLL
What this job involves:
The Team Leader – Design will serve as a strategic design partner across JLL's business and service lines, translating complex business objectives into visually compelling communications that capture attention and inspire action. Leading a team of 8-10 designers, you will drive creative excellence across digital and print platforms—from PowerPoint presentations and interactive InDesign publications to brochures, research reports, animations, and videos. This role requires a unique blend of creative vision, technical mastery, and leadership acumen. You'll work closely with marketers, art directors, and senior management to ensure every design asset aligns with JLL's brand standards while effectively engaging our target audiences. What your day-to-day will look like:
Lead and mentor a team of 8-10 designers, providing constructive feedback, guidance, and professional development to elevate team performance and creative output
Create and maintain high-quality visual content for both digital and print communications, including brochures, flyers, infographics, creative presentations, pitch decks, and research reports
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including marketers, art directors, and design managers—to develop compelling designs that align with business strategy and stakeholder objectives
Translate complex business information into visually enticing, easy-to-understand designs that are emotionally impactful and resonate with target audiences
Design real estate-specific deliverables such as 2D maps, site plans, floor plans, building illustrations, and property marketing materials
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines
Stay current with the latest design trends, standards, processes, and emerging AI tools to continuously enhance creative capabilities
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Visual Communications, Graphic Design, or related field from an accredited institution
8+ years of professional experience in graphic design, preferably within a marketing or communications agency environment
Prior experience in people management within a corporate setup, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop design teams
High level of proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign Interactive, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects), plus advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Proven expertise in creating visually compelling content across multiple platforms, with a portfolio demonstrating mastery of fundamental graphic design principles
Superior understanding of brand consistency and the ability to maintain integrated brand perception across all communications
Experience working on real estate-related deliverables including 2D maps, site plans, floor plans, and building illustrations
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working with global and international clients, with demonstrated cultural sensitivity and adaptability
Working knowledge of workflow management systems and AI-powered design tools
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into visual storytelling
Adaptability to new design tools and technologies as business requirements evolve
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively convey concepts and ideas through written, visual, and verbal means
Detail-oriented and highly organized with a problem-solving approach and proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy
Team-oriented attitude with the capacity to contribute meaningfully to design and functionality-related marketing decisions
