Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Experienced in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $21.91 / Hour
Job Schedule:
This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and public-service personnel as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned government buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials or authorization as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Report observed hazards, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
