The Opportunity
As a Specialized Tax Services - Energy Incentives & Credits Senior Manager, you will provide strategic tax advice and solutions to clients in complex and niche areas of taxation, including accounting methods, fixed-assets, and research and development tax credits. Within our Tax practice, you will focus on helping businesses navigate intricate tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. As a Senior Manager, you will leverage your skills and professional networks to deliver quality results. You will motivate and coach teams to solve complex problems, applying sound judgment and recognizing when to take action or escalate issues. Your ability to develop and sustain high-performing, diverse, and inclusive teams contributes to the success of our firm.
In this role, you will lead large projects and innovate processes, focusing on achieving results and maintaining operational excellence. You will interact with clients at a strategic level, driving overall project success. Your role involves crafting and conveying clear, impactful messages that tell a holistic story, applying systems thinking to identify underlying problems and opportunities, and validating outcomes with clients. You will direct teams through complexity, demonstrating composure in ambiguous situations, and initiate open and honest coaching conversations at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Leading strategic tax advisory projects focused on energy incentives and credits
- Navigating complex tax regulations to optimize client tax positions
- Developing and implementing tax strategies in specialized areas such as accounting methods and research and development tax credits
- Collaborating with clients to validate outcomes and incorporate feedback into tax solutions
- Directing teams through complex tax scenarios, maintaining composure in challenging situations
- Crafting and conveying clear, impactful messages that tell a holistic story
- Applying systems thinking to identify underlying tax problems and opportunities
- Initiating open and honest coaching conversations to enhance team performance
- Making informed decisions to resolve issues affecting team effectiveness
- Modeling and reinforcing professional and technical standards in line with firm guidelines
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 6 years of experience
- At least one of the following: Certified Public Accountant, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity
What Sets You Apart
- Leveraging influence in strategic tax advisory roles
- Demonstrating proficiency in IRA energy, manufacturing and infrastructure tax credits and incentives, including eligibility assessment, documentation, monetization, transferability and transaction support, and compliance with bonus credits including domestic content and prevailing wage and registered apprenticeship requirements
- Excelling in complex problem-solving and strategic questioning
- Applying systems thinking to identify tax opportunities

The salary range for this position is: $124,000 - $335,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
