Engineer - Software Test

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Testing and validating desktop applications and connected device ecosystems. 

  • Reviewing and analyzing requirements, user stories, and design specifications to identify test scenarios, quality risks, and coverage gaps early in the development lifecycle. 

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, test data, and test execution reports for functional and non-functional testing. 

  • Performing manual and automated testing of desktop applications using tools such as Ranorex, scripting language such as python, or equivalent automation frameworks. 

  • Executing integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing across distributed applications and connected devices. 

  • Identifying, tracking, and managing defects throughout the SDLC/STLC, and working closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues. 

  • Developing, maintaining, and integrating automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms to support continuous testing. 

  • Validating application functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and security while ensuring compliance with quality standards and best practices. 

  • Participating actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, to drive quality throughout the product lifecycle. 

  • Supporting release validation activities and ensuring high-quality software delivery through effective test execution, reporting, and risk assessment.


 Who You Are:
  • B.E/B. Tech or M. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Should have demonstrated ability in Software testing and very strong experience in automation testing.

 For This Role, You Will Need:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Software Testing with strong hands-on experience in Test Automation. 

  • Strong experience in testing Desktop Applications. 

  • Hands-on experience with Ranorex or similar automation tools. 

  • Experience in python, C#, or other programming/scripting languages. 

  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools. 

  • Hands on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.  

  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile development methodologies. 


 Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Familiarity with DevOps and test automation best practices.

  • ISTQB certification
