Managing Director, Enterprise Platforms

Job Summary:

This Managing Director is responsible for operating BDO’s core enterprise platforms—Oracle Cloud, OneStream, ServiceNow, Agiloft, and Microsoft Dynamics—as managed business services supported by strong product management discipline. The role is accountable for delivering consistent release cycles, platform stability, user adoption, enhancement roadmaps, and scalable M&A onboarding playbooks across these systems.

This leader serves as the primary IT platform partner to Core Business Services, including Finance, People & Culture, Legal, and Real Estate, ensuring platform strategy aligns with enterprise architecture, business priorities, and colleague experience objectives. The role also provides direct leadership to platform product directors and technical leaders across all five platforms, including coaching, performance management, capacity planning, prioritization, and capability development.
 

Job Duties:

  • Provides strategic leadership and direction for BDO’s core enterprise platforms—Oracle Cloud ERP, OneStream, ServiceNow, Agiloft, and Microsoft Dynamics—as managed business services
  • Establishes a consistent product management operating model across all platforms, including product ownership, backlog management, release planning, and adoption measurement
  • Leads the Oracle Cloud ERP delivery model with aligned IT leadership, business ownership, and executive governance to stabilize, mature, and optimize the platform
  • Owns platform strategy for OneStream, ServiceNow, Agiloft, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 in partnership with Finance, Legal, Procurement, Growth, Marketing, and Sales stakeholders
  • Establishes configuration governance, change control, release management standards, and quality gates to limit unnecessary customization and preserve platform upgradability
  • Monitors platform health, service levels, incident trends and drives root cause analysis and continuous improvement across the platform portfolio
  • Measures platform adoption and colleague satisfaction through usage metrics, NPS, and CSAT, and leads improvement plans against defined targets
  • Safeguards access, roles, and provisioning are aligned to least privilege principles and business requirements across all enterprise platforms and oversees RBAC
  • Manages vendor relationships, license optimization, and platform financial performance in partnership with IT FinOps, including quarterly business reviews and unit cost reporting
  • Builds and maintains repeatable M&A onboarding playbooks for key enterprise platforms to accelerate integration and improve consistency across acquisitions
  • Partners with Enterprise Architecture, the CISO, and IT Operations to ensure platforms align with enterprise standards, integration and data flow requirements, and compliance obligations including QC1000, SOC 2, and audit readiness
  • Provides executive reporting and develops platform team capabilities across product management, technical leadership, and functional specialization to support roadmap delivery and long-term platform maturity
  • Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly manages platform product directors and technical leaders across Oracle ERP, OneStream, ServiceNow, Agiloft, and Dynamics; provides coaching and performance management
  • Leads platform team capacity planning, hiring, onboarding, and capability development across all core enterprise platforms

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or IT, required
  • Master’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or Technology Management, preferred

Experience

  • Fifteen (15) or more years of progressive IT experience delivering, supporting, or optimizing enterprise platforms, required
  • Ten (10) or more years of senior leadership experience running enterprise platform organizations at scale, required
  • Five (5) or more years of people leadership experience, including team oversight, coaching, and performance management, required
  • Direct leadership experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and financial systems programs in a complex enterprise environment, required
  • Experience operating SaaS platforms as products, including configuration governance, release cadences, and adoption measurement, required
  • Experience leading M&A platform integration efforts and developing repeatable onboarding playbooks, required
  • Experience establishing product management operating models across a portfolio of enterprise SaaS platforms, required
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and license portfolios with major SaaS providers such as Oracle, ServiceNow, Microsoft, or comparable vendors, required
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform ownership, preferred
  • Experience working in professional services, Big 4, or similarly complex partnership-based environments, preferred
  • Experience supporting audit, regulatory, and compliance requirements at the platform level, preferred

License(s)/Certification(s)

  • Any Oracle Cloud ERP certifications, preferred
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) or equivalent, preferred
  • ITIL, SAFe, or product management certification (Pragmatic, SVPG), preferred

Software

  • Proficiency with Enterprise Platform Systems such as Oracle Cloud ERP (Fusion or other versions) and ServiceNow, required
  • Working knowledge of OneStream, Agiloft, and Microsoft Dynamics 365, preferred
  • Experience with enterprise work management and delivery tools, including Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow ITBM, and Power BI, preferred
  • Experience with productivity and collaboration platforms, including Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $195,000 - $295,000
Maryland Range:  $195,000 - $295,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range:  $195,000 - $295,000
