About Volta
Volta is the category-defining, fully vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform – from capital to clusters to software, under a founder-led enterprise. Our mission is The Utility of Compute™: AI infrastructure as dependable and available as electricity, for every organization that needs it. Launched with a $10B strategic partnership with one of the leading frontier AI labs, a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund, Volta is building the infrastructure layer of the AI era from the ground up. We are 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York, with rapid growth expectations to hundreds.
About The Role
As Volta scales its global AI infrastructure platform, our Capital Markets team is responsible for raising and structuring the billions of dollars in debt and equity financing that fund our data centers, powered land, and compute infrastructure. The Capital Markets Analyst will play a central role in supporting this effort, working closely with senior Finance leaders on live transactions that directly enable Volta's growth.
This is a high-visibility role for someone who wants to build deep expertise in infrastructure and project finance while contributing to deals that underpin The Utility of Compute™. You will help build the financial models, market analysis, and investor materials that inform how Volta finances its next generation of AI infrastructure.
You'll work cross-functionally with Treasury, Legal, Accounting, and deal teams, gaining exposure to complex financing structures rarely available to analysts at earlier-stage companies, all within a fast-moving, founder-led environment.
What You Will Be Doing
Build and maintain financial models to evaluate debt and equity financing structures for data center and power infrastructure projects
Support execution of capital markets transactions, including project finance, asset-backed lending, and structured credit facilities
Prepare investor materials, credit presentations, and financial analyses for lenders, rating agencies, and equity investors
Conduct market research and benchmarking on comparable transactions, pricing, and terms across infrastructure and energy finance markets
Assist with due diligence processes, coordinating with Legal, Treasury, and deal teams to compile data rooms and respond to lender and investor queries
Track and analyze key financial metrics, including leverage ratios, debt service coverage, and cost of capital, to inform financing decisions
Monitor macroeconomic and credit market conditions relevant to infrastructure financing and flag implications for the business
Support post-close reporting and compliance monitoring for outstanding debt facilities and covenants
Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, and Treasury teams to ensure financing structures align with broader financial planning
What You Bring
2-4 years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field, ideally with exposure to infrastructure, energy, or project finance
Strong financial modeling skills, including experience building leveraged finance, project finance, or credit models
Solid understanding of debt and equity capital markets instruments and processes
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial data platforms such as Bloomberg or Capital IQ preferred
Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment
