Our collaborative team is committed to delivering outstanding medical care while supporting the needs of pets, clients, and referring veterinarians throughout the community.Compensation:$20 - $28/hr. based on experience and credentials+ $4/hr. overnight differentials offeredSchedule:Per DiemDay ShiftsSwing ShiftsOvernight ShiftsJob Description:The Emergency Veterinary Technician provides exceptional nursing care and technical support for critically ill and injured patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role works closely with veterinarians to perform advanced diagnostic, treatment, anesthesia, and monitoring procedures while ensuring compassionate care for patients and clear communication with clients.Responsibilities:Provide compassionate nursing care to emergency and critical care patients throughout hospitalization and recovery.Place IV catheters, collect blood samples, administer medications, and manage IV fluid therapy.Assist with emergency diagnostics, treatments, and supportive care procedures.Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency and surgical procedures.Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes in patient condition.Safely restrain and handle patients while maintaining comfort and minimizing stress.Accurately document treatments, diagnostics, and patient observations in medical recordsCommunicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and clients regarding patient care plans.Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and client education.Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment and emergency areas.Qualifications:Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferredExperienced Veterinary Technicians with a minimum of two years of veterinary experience are encouraged to apply.Emergency or specialty veterinary experience preferred.Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, medication administration, and patient monitoring.Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, radiology safety, and fluid therapy.Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment.Fluent English speaking and reading skills required; multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.Why Technicians Choose EAHCC?Work alongside a highly skilled emergency veterinary team dedicated to exceptional patient care.Gain hands-on experience with a diverse caseload of emergency and critical care patients.Practice advanced technical skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.Receive mentorship and opportunities for continued professional growth and development.Be...
