The Mission Systems Wave Deployment Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting the execution of S/4HANA deployment waves across Mission Systems. This role will serve as the primary deployment focal for assigned sites, ensuring each location is prepared for go-live through integrated planning, site readiness, business engagement, cutover coordination, and post-go-live stabilization.
Reporting to Mission Systems S/4HANA Program Leadership, the Wave Deployment Lead will partner with site leaders, Business Process Leaders, Digital Technology, Collins PST deployment teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to execute deployments while minimizing disruption to business operations.
This is a REMOTE role and may be based at any domestic Mission Systems location or operate fully remote.
What You Will Do:
Wave and Deployment Planning
Develop and maintain detailed deployment plans for assigned Mission Systems waves and sites.
Coordinate deployment activities from initial site engagement through hypercare.
Apply standardized deployment methodologies, tools, playbooks, and governance.
Integrate site activities with the broader S/4HANA program schedule.
Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies, milestones, and resource needs.
Site Readiness
Lead site readiness assessments across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and other impacted functions.
Partner with site leadership to identify readiness gaps and develop mitigation plans.
Track readiness milestones, actions, risks, and decisions.
Coordinate readiness reviews and support go-live entry and exit recommendations.
Ensure sites understand deployment expectations, timelines, and required deliverables.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate deployment activities across:
Business process and functional teams
Data migration
System integration testing and user acceptance testing
Organizational change management
Training
Cutover
Digital Technology
Boundary applications
Site operations
Facilitate cross-functional deployment meetings and working sessions.
Escalate unresolved risks, issues, and decisions to program leadership.
Cutover and Go-Live
Support the development and execution of site cutover plans.
Coordinate mock cutovers, deployment rehearsals, and readiness checkpoints.
Support command center planning and execution during go-live.
Track deployment issues, business impacts, and recovery actions.
Provide timely deployment status updates to site and program leadership.
Hypercare and Stabilization
Coordinate post-go-live hypercare activities for assigned sites.
Support issue triage, prioritization, and resolution.
Track stabilization metrics and hypercare exit criteria.
Coordinate the transition from hypercare to steady-state support.
Capture lessons learned and incorporate improvements into future deployment waves.
Additional Responsibilities
Maintain deployment schedules, trackers, dashboards, and status reports.
Manage deployment risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
Support executive and site-level deployment communications.
Coordinate site visits, workshops, and readiness activities.
Partner with change management and training teams to support business adoption.
Ensure deployment activities follow enterprise standards and program governance.
Promote consistency while recognizing legitimate site-specific requirements.
TRAVEL: Up to 40%, depending on the deployment schedule (domestic and international)
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
Typically requires 7 or more years of relevant experience in program management, project management, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, ERP implementation, or business transformation.
Experience coordinating complex, cross-functional projects or deployments.
Experience working with manufacturing, supply chain, operations, or enterprise systems.
Demonstrated experience in planning, organization, communication, and stakeholder management.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in complex and changing environments.

Qualifications We Prefer:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Operations, or a related field.
Experience supporting SAP or S/4HANA implementation.
Experience with ERP deployment, site readiness, cutover, or hypercare activities.
Aerospace and defense or regulated manufacturing experience.
Familiarity with manufacturing systems such as MES, PLM, warehouse management, quality systems, or other boundary applications.
Experience with Jira, Microsoft Project, Primavera, Power BI, or similar planning and reporting tools.
PMP, Agile, Prosci, SAP, or related certification.
Experience working across multiple sites, functions, or business units.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
