Quantum-Art   All Jobs Experimental Physicist - EO EO & Mechanics Group Quantum Art Senior Full-time Description Quantum-Art, a full stack quantum computing company, develops state of the art quantum computing systems based on trapped ions technology (both hardware and software).As part of our mission our System, Trap and Electro-optics groups build our quantum processing units (QPUs), develop novel quantum gates and circuits, and implement new algorithms capable of solving hard computational tasks, beyond current classical computational abilities.We are looking for an excellent, skillful experimental physicist to join our Trap/Core, System, or Electro-optics groups.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, build & verify complex electro-optical setups.Integrate complex, high precision optical sub-assemblies into quantum computing systems.Maximize QPU performances, define, simulate, and measure the overall noise budget. Obtain efficient ways to reduce, control and mitigate leading noise sources.Provide technical expertise & support running systems in all electro-optical considerations.Explore new technologies for next generation setups and operate with sub-contractors for both design and manufacturing.Extensive collaboration with all R&D groups including trap, theory and system group. Requirements PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optics, Applied Physics or related fields or exceptional MSc graduates with relevant research and/or industry experience.Proven experience with lasers and electro-optical systems – a must.Broad understanding of optical principles and practices.Relevant industry experience – a significant advantage.Experience in characterizing & stabilizing lasers, servoing diodes, locking systems – an advantage.Experience in designing optical and electro-optical setups – an advantage.Knowledge and experience in Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) - an advantage.Experience with data analysis (taking, plotting, analyzing, fitting and interpreting relevant data from optical testing experiments).GeneralWe are located at the Science Park, by the Weizmann institute.Full collaboration with the experimental & theoretical groups at the Weizmann Institute.Only relevant candidates will be contacted.   All Jobs
