GENERAL FUNCTION:
Leads in the analysis of data activities and engagement across the Commercial Payments organization in support of Treasury Management strategic objectives and growth. Responsible for developing reporting, analytics, metrics and key performance indicators while also providing in-depth analysis and recommendations for improving/enhancing line of business performance. Serves as a strategic thought-leader; bridging the gap between business processes and data analytics solutions.
Principal level must have the ability to identify data sources; manage large amounts of data; merge data sources; ensure consistency of datasets; create visualizations to aid in understanding data; build mathematical models using the data; be a champion for a data insights culture; and present and communicate the actionable findings to a wide audience including technical and non-technical business partners.
Plays a crucial role in providing valuable, innovative, data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize business performance, drive strategic initiatives, and solve complex business problems. Works with diverse data sets, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and makes a significant impact on our organization’s success. Directs engagements with minimal supervisory oversight.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead pricing, billing, analytics, and revenue optimization capabilities supporting Commercial Payments and Treasury Management growth.
- Deliver advanced analytics through Power BI, SQL, predictive modeling, and executive performance dashboards.
- Partner with Salesforce Effectiveness leaders to drive productivity, coverage optimization, pipeline velocity, and sales performance.
- Develop enterprise sales and profitability insights including funnel analytics, revenue driver analysis, conversion modeling, and forecasting.
- Create next-best-product, cross-sell, and client segmentation strategies to improve revenue growth and deepen client relationships.
- Identify revenue leakage, billing inefficiencies, and pricing opportunities while driving process improvements that enhance revenue realization.
- Provide executive decision support through strategic analytics, KPI frameworks, trend analysis, and business performance measurement.
- Establish strong partnering relationships with each line of business and functional leaders and develop strategic grasp of their businesses and objectives; act as both thought leader and champion for Analytics team, and more specifically on how insights can drive substantial improvements in business performance.
- Utilize deep business knowledge as a subject matter expert to support data analytics product development– including understanding the financial needs of businesses and the complete sales lifecycle through servicing and relationship management.
- Seamlessly lead and prioritize complex analytic engagement deliverables with varying deadlines.
- Evaluate and improve design of reports and processes to ensure that analytical tools evolve as the business changes.
- Understands and leads peers in the identification of key business factors (both internal and external) that impact the business.
- Demonstrable experience building data models or data products; selects and effectively executes the most appropriate quantitative analysis techniques for the problem at hand.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base to keep current on existing and emerging issues; apply this knowledge to assist business managers in growing their business.
- Ability to analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop trend analyses, other quantitative reports to determine business trends and develop analytical models to identify patterns in data.
- Create, automate, and publish new and existing ad-hoc reports.
- Develop continuous monitoring of operational metrics.
- Develop solutions and recommendations for improving data integrity issues.
- Provides feedback and coaching to other data analysts, guidance to less experienced staff.
- Independently research and implement industry best practices for Data Analytics.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and present findings to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Continue to strengthen familiarity with regulations that impact the organization.
- Deepen proficiency with risks as applied to the organization’s analytics: credit risk, market risk, operational risk, liquidity risk, climate risk, reputational risk, cyber risk, regulatory risk, and strategic risk.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years in banking, financial services, or similar background.
- Minimum 8 years data analytics experience.
- Expert working knowledge of data analytics tools, languages, and methodologies such as SAS, SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Excel, or Power BI; can write complex SQL queries against a variety of data sources and perform advanced data discovery.
- Strong competence in the use of analytic techniques and methods, including data exploration.
- Ability to review, analyze, gain insights, and present conclusions and recommendations from complex qualitative and quantitative datasets into solutions.
- Comprehensive understanding of business metrics, reporting standards, and reporting experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across departments to achieve mutually beneficial results.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business and report writing.
- Exceptional analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather information quickly and to synthesize into actionable information.

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
