Postdoctoral Fellow-MSH-30001-337
A highly motivated postdoctoral fellow is recruited to conduct computational biology research in the field of spatial biology at the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS). The postdoc will join a leading spatial biology lab directed by Dr. Guo-Cheng Yuan. Previous work from this lab has produced widely recognized tools for spatial transcriptomics analysis (such as Giotto, ONTraC, and spatialDWLS) and related areas. The lab has also collaborated extensively with diverse experts and made major contributions in understanding the molecular mechanisms of cancer, hematological, and neurological diseases. The postdoctoral fellow will play a critical role in developing innovative machine learning/AI methods and software packages for multi-scale, multi-modality spatial omic data analyses and integration and applications in human diseases. ISMMS is an international leader in medical and scientific training, biomedical research, and patient care. At ISMMS, world-class data scientists and clinicians work closely together toward precision medicine. The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to collaborate with diverse experts at ISMMS in both basic and clinical research.
Qualifications. The candidate should hold a PhD degree in a quantitative field. He/she should have strong analytical, machine learning, and programming skills, prior experience in analyzing spatial transcriptomics data, and demonstrated productivity through first-author peer-reviewed publications. The candidate is expected to work well both independently and collaboratively.
To apply, please send a cover letter, CV, and the contact information of at least two references by email to Dr. Guo-Cheng Yuan ( guo-cheng.yuan@mssm.edu ).
