Production Network Engineer Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation, tools, and workflows to facilitate the seamless integration of new routing and switching platforms into the network infrastructure ()
- Design and develop provisioning solutions that scale across a variety of network hardware platforms
- Architect and build end-to-end test automation frameworks, leveraging AI to generate, optimize, and execute test suites at scale for qualification of network platforms, new products (switches, routers, optical devices), and network software — integrating them into CI/CD pipelines for continuous qualification
- Perform deep dives on complex technical issues across networks, ranging from automated tooling to hardware failures and network issues
- Participate in an oncall rotation with the rest of the provisioning and test automation team
- Proactively identify gaps that impact multiple teams, develop execution plans, drive projects to completion, and influence partner teams to achieve outcomes
- Increase operational efficiency across peers and cross-functional teams by identifying roadblocks, designing and delivering automation solutions, and driving change
