The Engineering Project and Solutions Division (EPSD) in Air Liquide is responsible for rendering expertise to design, install and manage gas supply systems, storage infrastructure and gas handling equipment to enhance productivity, product quality and safety in our clients’ operations.


The Senior Project Engineer coordinates and oversees assigned engineering projects from inception to completion. Working closely with contractors and consultants, this role provides critical technical expertise in mechanical designs, enforces safety protocols, and supports the Project Manager in budget and schedule management to ensure timely, compliant project execution.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • Manage / Supervise  the development of competitive economic and technical solutions. Contribute to project strategy by developing risk registers, defining scopes, planning CAPEX, and ensuring technical integrity from inception.

  • Lead and manage day-to-day project activities, including installation coordination with consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors to ensure excellence in delivery. Oversee site progress, execution matters, and construction activities, ensuring all work aligns with design specifications.

  • Develop, track, and monitor project schedules by analyzing plans, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements. Proactively resolve problems to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Validate and control variation orders, submitting them to the Project Manager for approval.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, owner representatives, operations teams, and vendors. Organize and facilitate weekly and monthly progress meetings to update status, address challenges, and align on key project deliverables.

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, including issuing work permits and maintaining a safe, clean working environment. Ensure full compliance with internal company policies, Industrial Management Systems (IMS), and external regulatory standards (e.g., ASME B31.3) throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including technical reports, progress summaries, and change orders. Monitor project performance against KPIs (On Budget Delivery, On Time Delivery) and recommend actionable improvements.

  • Manage and coordinate vendors and suppliers during the commissioning, testing, and handover phases of equipment and systems, ensuring successful transition to operations.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to innovate work processes and contribute to team efforts by sharing technical expertise and fostering win-win solutions with contractors and partners.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering education.

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in site installation coordination and construction management, preferably in process/equipment construction sites, plant installation, or EPC environments.

  • Proven ability to read, understand, and interpret technical design drawings, including piping and pipe support plans and equipment layout mechanical installation plans.

  • Experience in engineering design and technical document preparation is advantageous.

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Flexibility to work late hours or weekends when project requirements dictate.
