Director, Technical Program Management - Ads Infra Foundations
Summary:
The Monetization organization drives revenue growth for Meta by building ads products for every business model and across multiple verticals. The Infra Foundations TPM Director is responsible for leading and growing the TPM organization that drives the development of the core platforms and systems to help grow Meta revenue. This role requires a deep understanding of advertising systems, advertisers, and AI/ML technologies.The right candidate will be a proven TPM leader, with a technical background in advertising systems, infrastructure, or AI/ML technologies, who has experience communicating technical strategies and program updates in writing and verbally to engineering, product, and executive stakeholders, experience collaborating across engineering, product, and business organizations to align on shared goals and deliverables, and a demonstrated program management background with experience driving large-scale technical programs from planning through delivery. They will have demonstrated experience leading large projects across multiple software teams and organizations with complex dependencies, as well as building and growing an organization of TPMs. The candidate must be able to effectively manage competing priorities and deliver results in a dynamic, high-scale environment serving customers at massive scale, and navigate ambiguity by defining structure, clarifying scope, and prioritizing based on business impact. This means not only being able to manage the team, develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but also digging in to get the job done.

- Define and lead technical execution strategy for multiple product and platform areas
- Articulate the technology, requirements, goals and milestones of your team
- Work with engineering and product management leadership to define and revise the long-term strategy for the organization
- Work with the team to develop end-to-end program plans, influence teams to deliver against them, and keep the org and leadership informed on progress
- Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions
- Work with teams to set milestones, communicate program statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks
- Work with engineering to ensure the team's work focuses on the highest priority partner team and customer needs
- Work across many organizations to align plans, manage dependencies, drive execution and deliver broad solutions
- Build and scale the organization to support multiple fast-paced product categories
- Responsible for people management - hiring, developing and implementing organizational structure, delivering performance reviews, providing continual feedback, coaching and career growth

- 15+ years of software industry experience, including systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience
- 10+ years of people management experience leading teams to deliver technical programs or products from inception to delivery
- Proven communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a multi-disciplinary, cross-functional team
- Experience building, growing, and leading a technical program management organization through design and execution of large infrastructure, tools and applications
- Experience in growing organizations and developing team processes and practices
- Knowledge of software development processes and ML and AI technologies
- Understanding of best practices for both traditional and machine learned systems
- Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems

$245,000/year to $309,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
