Principal Software Engineering Manager

Build, lead, and grow a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing engineering team; hire, coach, and develop engineers and support their long-term career growth. Set technical strategy and priorities for one or more web platform areas, and drive execution across multiple projects and release cycles. Foster a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and inclusion, and model a growth mindset across the team. Manage team health, delivery, and operational quality, and represent your team's work to senior leadership and partner organizations. Guide your team's contributions to Chromium in areas that can be shared across Chromium-based browsers. Deliver web platform innovations across key browser engine areas, grounded in customer and developer needs, with a focus on correctness, performance, compatibility, and security at web scale. Partner with product, design, standards bodies, community groups, and partner teams to align the roadmap and land features end to end. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
