Inventory Planning Associate (Temp)
Grove Collaborative is a sustainability-focused consumer products company creating household and personal care essentials that are effective, beautifully designed, and healthier for people and the planet. We are a certified B Corp, plastic-neutral, and on a mission to transform the CPG industry for good.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Grove runs a lot of SKUs, moving fast, across a lot of channels. Behind every in-stock product on the site is a mountain of data that has to be accurate, current, and clean, and that's where this role lives. We're looking for an Inventory Planning Associate to support our Inventory team with the detailed, repetitive, get-it-right-every-time work that keeps supply and demand planning running smoothly.
This is a full-time, temporary role, and it's a support role, not a planning seat. You won't be setting the strategy, you'll be the reliable hands that make the strategy possible: pulling data, updating records, running reports, and catching the small errors before they become big ones. The honest version: a lot of this work repeats, day after day, and that's exactly the point. We need someone who finds real satisfaction in doing repetitive work with precision, not someone who gets bored by it.
If you're the kind of person who thrives when the priorities shift by the hour, who double-checks a number because it feels wrong before anyone else notices, and who's genuinely curious how a company keeps a high SKU count in stock at high velocity across multiple channels, this is a great way in. You won't need to already know supply and demand planning. You need to want to learn it, one data pull and one report at a time.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
- Support the Inventory team with the recurring administrative work that keeps planning accurate: data entry, file updates, and routine report generation.
- Pull and organize inventory, sales, and forecast data from multiple systems, following established processes.
- Help maintain clean, current records across SKUs, so the numbers planners rely on are numbers they can trust.
- Track purchase orders, shipments, and inventory receipts, flagging discrepancies rather than resolving them independently.
- Assist with routine reconciliations between systems, catching mismatches before they turn into stockouts or overages.
- Prepare recurring reports and trackers for the Inventory team on a set cadence, formatted the way the team needs them.
- Respond to routine data requests from cross-functional partners, and escalate anything more complex to the right person on the team.
- Follow documented processes closely, and speak up when a process doesn't quite fit what you're seeing.
- Learn the basics of supply and demand planning by being genuinely useful in the middle of it, not by sitting in on it from a distance.
ABOUT YOU
- Highly detail-oriented, with the kind of focus that catches a wrong number before it causes a problem.
- Comfortable with repetitive, administrative work, and takes real pride in doing it accurately every time.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where today's priority might shift by this afternoon.
- Organized enough to juggle multiple recurring tasks without letting any of them slip.
- Genuinely curious about supply and demand planning, retail inventory, or CPG operations, even without prior experience in it.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and data entry, and willing to learn new systems and tools quickly.
- Reliable and communicative: if something looks off, you say so.
- Humble enough to ask questions early rather than guess.
EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE
- Experience leveraging AI for process improvement.
- Prior experience in an administrative, data entry, or operations support role.
- Exposure to inventory, supply chain, or retail planning in any capacity.
- Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets beyond the basics.
- Experience working in a fast-growing or high-SKU-count business.
