Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.SIGN-ON BONUS: $3,000As a CNC / ACME / Tool & Die Machinist, you are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and or ACME to produce machined parts according to blueprint specifications. nVent expects you to adhere to all safe work procedures and to create parts up to the highest of quality standards. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Sets up and operates ACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment to produce quality machined parts as specified by blueprints, layout, and templates. Plans sequence of operations applying knowledge of materials. Perform duties required to assist setup and operate multiple ACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment simultaneously for a variety of machined products. Work from drawings, route sheets, schedules, written, and verbal instructions. Check material for correct size and type. Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to check work in process and ensure adherence to specifications. Move materials in the performance of duties. Install and check safety devices as needed for specific jobs. Report faulty equipment, defective material and unusual conditions to supervisor. Complete required quality checks/documents and production documentation. Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition. Perform other related duties as assigned or directed, which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs. YOU HAVE: Knowledge of manufacturing processes Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints Experience using hand and power tools Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines.
