Clean Harbors / Safety-Kleen is seeking a mid-level Data Analyst to join our BPS Division's Route Analytics & Optimization team, based in our Hyderabad office. This role partners directly with the Norwell based Strategic Initiatives team to support data-driven decision-making across operations reporting, route analytics, customer analytics, and executive-level business reviews. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in SQL and Power BI, comfortable working across multiple databases and business domains, and capable of translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.

  • Design, write, and optimize T-SQL queries across multiple SQL Server databases (including operational, reporting, and CRM replica databases) to support recurring and ad hoc reporting needs. 
  • Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports that support SVP-level Monthly Business Reviews (MBR), operations leadership, and field management teams. 
  • Support route analytics and optimization workflows, including analysis of driver performance, on-time performance (OTP/OTA), and other route planning data. 
  • Analyze customer service data, including service frequency, account activity, and territory-level trends, to support strategic planning and operational decision-making. 
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of automated reporting pipelines using SQL, Excel, and Power BI. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across customer service, operations, and sales teams to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions. 
  • Perform data validation, quality checks, and root cause analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability of reporting outputs. 
  • Document data models, query logic, and reporting processes to support knowledge transfer and team continuity. 
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role. 
  • Advanced proficiency in T-SQL / SQL Server, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions (ROW_NUMBER, PARTITION BY), and query optimization. 
  • Strong experience building Power BI dashboards and reports, including DAX measure development and data model design. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and structured reporting layouts. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple databases and data sources to produce integrated reporting outputs. 
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, surface anomalies, and communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Experience working in an operations-focused or logistics/services business environment is strongly preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with Python for data processing, automation, or report generation (pandas, openpyxl, python-pptx, or similar libraries). 
  • Familiarity with Alteryx or similar ETL/workflow automation tools. 
  • Exposure to Salesforce data structures or CRM analytics. 
  • Experience supporting route planning, field services, or logistics operations analytics. 
  • Knowledge of Power BI Service (workspace management, scheduled refresh, row-level security). 
  • Experience writing or maintaining VBA macros in Excel.
