Job Duties: Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.37610)
Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation. Position requires:
1. Java;
2. System Design including Designs scalable and reliable system architectures, making technical tradeoffs across performance, resilience, and maintainability;
3. API Development;
4. Cloud Computing;
5. CI/CD tools;
6. Transactional database;
7. HTTP;
8. RESTful APIs;
9. DevOPS;
10. Distribution service;
11. Virtual networking; and,
12. Routing control plane.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
