The Role

This opportunity is for a candidate who is passionate about Information Protection and Compliance and has a deep understanding of how to leverage the Proofpoint Information Protection suite to meet compliance control objectives.

This role requires partnering with both business leaders and technical teams within large enterprise organizations to strengthen information protection and compliance programs. The successful candidate will lead ongoing implementations of the Proofpoint Information Protection Suite, guiding customers through the full implementation lifecycle—from understanding business objectives and recommending product configurations to testing, monitoring, and knowledge transfer.

The ideal candidate is organized, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrates strong leadership, and brings experience with Proofpoint Information Protection and compliance solutions. This individual must be proactive, possess strong project management skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously, and take ownership and accountability for successful customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their organizational structure and workflows in order to become a trusted advisor.
  • Lead complex implementations while working alongside customers to meet their Information Protection security and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Engineering, Sales, and Product Management, as well as external partners to ensure customer requirements are understood and tracked.
  • Coordinate across multiple stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of customer issues and successful project completion.
  • Mentor other PCMS team members to strengthen their technical knowledge, project management, and customer management skills.
  • Lead complex DLP and Data Exfiltration investigations, build playbooks, and coach analysts supporting strategic accounts.
  • Configure and support data protection technologies including Proofpoint Email DLP, Cloud DLP, Endpoint DLP, DSPM, and AEDLP.
  • Define and document best practices, processes, templates, and architectures for use by the managed services team.
  • Leverage prior experience to share best practices and develop creative solutions that maximize the value of Proofpoint Information Protection products.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industry experience in a Professional Services Consulting or similar role, preferably focused on Data Loss Prevention.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Information Protection and Compliance.
  • Technical experience configuring dictionaries, regular expressions (RegEx), and detector-based logic.
  • Experience with Proofpoint Email DLP, Cloud DLP, Endpoint DLP, DSPM, and AEDLP.
  • Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present and explain technology to both senior business executives and highly technical audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Fortune 500 or other large enterprise customers.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or higher in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of writing and interpreting Regular Expressions (RegEx).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets as set out below. Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable compensation and/or equity. We offer a competitive benefits package, including flexible time off, a comprehensive well-being program with two paid Wellbeing Days and two paid Volunteer Days per year, plus a three-week Work from Anywhere option.

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 32.60 - 47.81 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 25.67 - 37.65 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 24.71 - 36.23 USD
