Kindergarten English Teacher

We are looking for a Kindergarten English Teacher for an international kindergarten in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. This position is available from the upcoming 2026/27 academic year starting in August 2026.

About the school

Located in Chengdu's Shuangliu district, this kindergarten provides early years education for children aged 2 to 6, with small classes of just 18 students. Its nurturing, play-based approach focuses on whole-child development in a warm and supportive setting, where foreign teachers work side by side with a dedicated local co-teacher in a friendly, collaborative environment.

Job responsibilities

• Teach English to kindergarten students aged 2 to 6 and ensure an engaging and supportive learning experience
• Serve as a homeroom teacher and help create a positive, safe, and well-managed classroom environment
• Prepare lessons, teaching materials, class activities, and age-appropriate assessments
• Work closely with the local co-teacher to support students' language, social, and overall development for a class of 18 students
• Monitor and assess students' progress and provide feedback to parents and school leadership when required
• Take part in school activities, events, meetings, and other teaching-related responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• TEFL, TESOL, CELTA certifcate or higher
• Patient, caring, and genuinely loves working with young children
