Position Summary: We are currently seeking an experienced Childcare Lead to join our team. Care is provided in a private setting. This position plays a key role in overseeing daily childcare operations and ensuring a high standard of care. This is a hands-on leadership position, and prior childcare or nanny experience is required.

Key Roles / Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and supervision for children in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Lead and support other childcare team members by modeling best practices and maintaining consistency in daily routines.
  • Organize activities and implement a curriculum that encourages learning and development.
  • Observe and monitor children's play activities to ensure safety and developmental appropriateness.
  • Dress children and guide them in personal hygiene and health practices.
  • Identify and report any emotional or developmental concerns to parents and management.
  • Foster a supportive and emotionally positive environment to promote children's social and emotional growth.
  • Coordinate with parents and team members to maintain consistent communication and care strategies.
  • Help train and mentor new childcare staff as needed.
  • Ensure all childcare areas are clean, organized, and meet safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
 

  • Proven nanny or childcare experience; prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant early childhood education is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written).
  • Physically able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel out of state or internationally, as needed.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
  • Must demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
  • Will be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
  • Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
