Volunteer Childrens Procedure Center/Imaging - PCH Salt Lake

Intermountain Health Primary Childrens HospitalPart-timePosted Aug 3, 2026

Volunteer Description:

Volunteers offer help to patients, families, and Caregivers in the Children’s Procedure Center/Imaging Department. Position is unpaid volunteer service.

Medical Imaging and the Children’s Procedure Center (CPC) has a combined waiting room but branches off into two different spaces. Medical Imaging is a very busy department that serves both inpatient and outpatient families. Caregivers in Medical Imaging are very excited for volunteers to help with many tasks, including playing with children, keeping them up to date on family wait times, and helping staff as needed.

The Children’s Procedure Center, or CPC, is a department where children come for same-day procedures (such as sedated dental procedures, sedated x-rays, etc.). Engaging with patients by offering children toys and crafts, playing games with them as they wait for their procedures, cleaning toys, and helping staff as needed are just a few examples of the volunteer work you’d be doing.

Having volunteers in this area of the hospital is extremely helpful for our patients and families. It makes their experience much more comfortable and enjoyable.
