Assembles and accurately arranges instrument trays. Sterilizes instruments following established protocols. Returns sterile instruments to their designated locations. Stocks and maintains patient care equipment. Manages the decontamination process for surgical instruments. Communicates with operating room staff to assist with instrument turnovers. Handles the cleaning and sterilization of vendor instruments. Supports operating room staff with patient positioning and transportation. Monitors and ensures the proper functioning of sterilization equipment. Maintains inventory and orders supplies as needed. Adheres to safety and infection control policies. Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Able to accurately identify instruments [Required]
- Ability to operate Steam Sterilizers [Required]
- Ability to operate Washer Disinfector [Required]
- Accurately read and document Biological results. [Required]
- Properly clean patient care equipment [Required]
- Ability to accurately identify specialty instrumentation [Preferred]
- Ability to accurately process complex instrumentation [Preferred]
Education:
- Associate [Preferred]
- Graduate of a Technical School [Preferred]
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:

Work Experience:
- 1+ of position-related experience [Preferred]
Additional Information:
Additional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
Licenses and Certifications:
- CIS Certification obtained through HSPA [Preferred]
- Certified Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) [Preferred]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range:
