Principal Infrastructure Engineer

Design and implement network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment. Execute on architectural standards and reference architecture. Deep knowledge of Open Systems Interconnection model (OSI model). Expert knowledge of Internet Protocols (E.g., DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL). Expert knowledge of various network types. E.g., LAN, WAN and WLAN. Expert knowledge of defining and implementing integration of hardware in the network, including routers, switches, power systems, and cables. Expert knowledge of network management including network testing, implementation, and maintenance. Expert knowledge of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF and EIGRP. Expert ability to design, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi, and network security infrastructure. Expert ability to identify, prioritize, and solve complex network-related problems and recommend solutions for improving the overall network health. Proven ability to recommend solutions for improving the overall network health by assessing overall effectiveness. Expert to communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of technical terminology. Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and work experience 5+ years of experience in related field Native-level proficiency/fluent in English Prior Visio experience Experience in DevOps and Agile technology environments (preferred)
