Job Description

Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager- Insurance Investment Accounting

Responsibilities:

  • Investment Reporting – Prepare and deliver daily, monthly, and quarterly investment reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory submissions (e.g., IFRS9, Solvency II, PRA, NAIC)
  • Data Management – Maintain and validate investment data across systems, ensuring accuracy of holdings, valuations, and transactions
  • Investment Accounting Support – Reconcile investment positions, income accruals, and unrealized gains/losses between custodians, fund managers, and the general ledger
  • System & Feed Maintenance – Manage data feeds from custodians, fund managers, and investment systems (e.g., Clearwater, SimCorp, Eagle) to ensure timely updates
  • Regulatory & Management Reporting – Support preparation of investment schedules, exposure reports, and compliance attestations for insurance regulators and management
  • Governance & Controls – Ensure adherence to investment policies, controls, and audit standards, identifying and resolving data or reporting discrepancies proactively

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • CA / CPA / M-Com / B-Com or Graduate in Finance
  • Relevant years of experience in managing F&A Insurance Investment processes
  • Experience in working with an insurance client is must undefined

Preferred Skill Set:

  • Investment Product knowledge like Equity, Bonds, Derivatives etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS 9)
  • Experience with accounting software, like SAP, Blackline, etc.Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail Self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative
  • Strong time management skills Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
