Part-time Sales Lead
Overview
We’re looking for an energetic, goal-oriented retail professional and comfort enthusiast to join our San Francisco store as a Sales Lead. Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll serve as a keyholder and sales floor leader, overseeing opening and closing procedures, floor coverage, and daily performance goals.
Our stores operate with lean, agile teams of approximately 6–8 people, so you’ll balance delegating tasks with leading by example through active selling. You’ll model our selling and service standards, share product expertise, improve daily workflows, and coach Sales Associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
What You’ll Do:
Shift Leadership & Keyholder Autonomy: Lead opening and closing duties, manage cash handling procedures, and oversee day-to-day floor operations with confidence to ensure the store runs smoothly.
Pivot from Leader to Doer: Act as a premier floor leader who can step back to monitor total team zoning, while simultaneously acting as a hands-on executor driving personal sales goals and side-by-side floor execution.
Daily Communication & Goal Alignment: Lead daily shift huddles to communicate daily sales targets, service goals, and floor priorities, keeping the team motivated, aligned, and energized.
Floor Delegation & Coverage Management: Coordinate real-time team coverage, assign floor tasks, and manage employee break schedules during your shifts to optimize productivity and maintain consistent service.
Selling & Service Model Excellence: Model high standards for our premium selling and service model on every shift. Lead by example with warm greetings, attentive listening, and enthusiastic brand storytelling.
Active Peer Coaching & Development: Drive sales floor performance by providing in-the-moment coaching to Sales Associates, helping them strengthen their selling skills, leverage product knowledge, and meet service expectations.
Platform-Driven Clienteling: Actively utilize our digital clienteling platform to cultivate long-term customer relationships and meet outreach goals, while supporting peers in executing effective clienteling habits.
Onboarding & Best Practice Sharing: Support the onboarding and continuous training of new team members by sharing operational best practices and product knowledge.
In-the-Moment Problem Solving: Independently resolve customer escalations, determine appropriate service recovery paths, and assist with troubleshooting inventory or POS system issues during shifts.
Operational Compliance & Visual Maintenance: Maintain high standards across the sales floor by ensuring adherence to daily safety protocols, back-of-house organization, and visual merchandising replenishment directives.
We're Looking For Someone With:
1–2+ years of retail supervisory or keyholder experience in a premium, specialized, or customer-centric retail environment.
The ability to pivot from leader to doer: A natural floor leader who can maintain an organized sales floor while operating as a high-performing executor who loves direct customer engagement.
A passion for the "Soft Home" space: A genuine love for comfort, home styling, and product education, with the ability to confidently help customers mix, match, and design their dream bed and bath setups.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills: A positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to resolve shift conflicts, motivate peers, and maintain a high-performing environment.
Agility for a growth-stage environment is a plus: Experience working in an environment where you have successfully navigated scaling processes and helped optimize systems as a brand grows.
Familiarity with select retail and workplace systems is a plus: Experience working within an Apple-based ecosystem (iPads/Macs) and utilizing platforms like Shopify POS, NetSuite, Slack, and Google Workspace to manage daily store operations, inventory tracking, and team communications.
Flexibility and adaptability to work a retail schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts based on the needs of the business.
